Welcome to Hare Moon Baby's Website

Baby Shower Feb 20, 2010

The Hare Moon is in May &
2011 is the Year of the White Metal Rabbit
A child born in the Rabbit's year will have a sweet disposition.
When the Chinese look at the moon, they see the hare standing underneath the cassia tree, grasping the elixir of immortality.  During the autumn harvest festival, Chinese children carry paper lanterns shaped like rabbits and climb up the hills to observe the lovely moon hare, which symbolizes the start of day and the yin of heaven.

News from the Hollow
While working on the nursery this past weekend we noticed a fluffy little bunny rabbit sitting outside the window watching us. He must like it there because he spends a lot of time fertilizing which the hydrangeas will love come spring.  I saw it race down a hole in the snow Sunday so it must have a nest right there in front of the window.
